Hello my dear readers,
Last Wednesday I got the chance to go on a short trip to one of the most beautiful cities of Romania, Sighisoara. Travelling is something that I enjoy a lot but also something that I don’t get to do enough, so I was extremely grateful for this opportunity.
Located in the heart of Transylvania, Sighisoara is such a picturesque city, with paved little streets and historical buildings, and it is even listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Sighisoara is especially known for the well preserved towers which offer plenty of beautiful cityscapes. The atmosphere is calm, people are friendly, and if you like to socialize, you can definitely find fellow travelers with whom you can share a meal or a nice talk.
Speaking of food, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from and my recommendation is that you choose traditional Romanian food like Polenta with Chese (Mamaliga cu Branza) or Stews (Tocana), Soups (Ciorba), Cabbage Rolls (Sarmale) just to name a few.
Here are some photos from my little trip and if my description didn’t convince you of how amazing Sighisoara is, maybe they will:
Thank you for reading, and have a wonderful week!
